Makeup Tips - Turning Thin Lips Plump - Fuller Lips

Posted on 21 February 2008 by admin

sexy lipsNot every woman has been blessed with a naturally full set of lips. For those of us who fight to find our lips to line, there is hope with the help of a few carefully selected beauty care products. The key ideas to remember when trying to make thin lips fuller, is to choose the right makeup colors and protect that shine.

The perfect lip makeup colors to make thin lips fuller, are neutral tones. These tones include tans and natural pinks. Lining the lip just outside of the natural lip line with a lip liner identical to your natural lip color, will help blend the look, making the line appear natural and not artificial.

After lining the lips, apply a chap stick style lip balm to the lips, color the lips with a warm color that matches your skin tones and finish with a shiny lip gloss. Make sure to concentrate the gloss on the center of the lip. This will make the lip appear much fuller and more plump.

Naturally, you can use peppermint oil to bring the blood in the lip to the surface. This will give the lip a fuller appearance for a few hours. Feel free to reapply the peppermint oil as needed.

There are certain colors and techniques that should be avoided for women with thin lips. Dark colors should never be applied to the lip in either lip color or lip liner form. Also, never line thin lips with a darker lip liner outside of the natural line. This technique should only be used with lip liners that match the natural color of the lip.

Having thin lips does not have to mean you will never be able to achieve that super model pout. With just the right colors and the proper technique, turning those thin lips into fuller lips is easy and fun.

Prom Makeup Tips - Prom 2008 Makeup Tips Applying Foundation

Posted on 15 January 2008 by admin

Prom Makeup Tips

Applying foundation may seem like a simple task. But, there are a few tricks that can make application of foundation easier and more smooth on the skin, as well as, saving a lot of wasted foundation. Not every applicator available for applying foundation is the right applicator and not every technique offers the perfect coverage.

When applying foundation you should never use a sponge. A sponge applicator for foundation simply soaks up the liquid and leaves little for the skin. The best applicators are your fingers. Dotting foundation all over your face with a finger and blending from there, is the best way to save a lot of foundation over a short period of time.

A sponge applicator for foundation also applies too much makeup to the face at one time. The less foundation used, the more natural the look of the skin. Too much foundation and the makeup will appear caked on.

Blending is essential to smooth and easy coverage. After dotting the foundation on the face with a fingertip, use the palm of the hand to blend the foundation on to the skin. Foundation should be blended from the mid line of the face out toward the outer line of the face. Thinking of the nose as the center point, foundation should always be blended away from the nose.

Foundation is one of the simple ways to cover skin imperfections and blemishes. After leaving the sponge behind and using your fingers to apply and blend your foundation onto the skin, you will immediately notice the difference and love the changes you have made in your foundation application.
