Applying foundation may seem like a simple task. But, there are a few tricks that can make application of foundation easier and more smooth on the skin, as well as, saving a lot of wasted foundation. Dotting foundation all over your face with a finger and blending from there, is the best way to save a lot of foundation over a short period of time.

A sponge applicator for foundation also applies too much makeup to the face at one time. The less foundation used, the more natural the look of the skin. Too much foundation and the makeup will appear caked on.

Blending is essential to smooth and easy coverage. After dotting the foundation on the face with a fingertip, use the palm of the hand to blend the foundation on to the skin. Foundation should be blended from the mid line of the face out toward the outer line of the face. Thinking of the nose as the center point, foundation should always be blended away from the nose.

Foundation is one of the simple ways to cover skin imperfections and blemishes. After leaving the sponge behind and using your fingers to apply and blend your foundation onto the skin, you will immediately notice the difference and love the changes you have made in your foundation application.
